After his arrest in 2007, Amy Winehouse's husband Blake Fielder-Civil has been stuck behind bars in a UK prison. But Blake has worked to make the best out of this situation, from finding ways to get drugs to meeting women.

Blake's Thug Life
Putting a hit on Pete Doherty
While behind bars and during one of his many visitation suspensions, Blake was still able to get news from the tabloids about his wife going out with Pete Doherty. Amy spent her first wedding anniversary with Pete because Blake was stuck in prison. Worried about the influence Pete has on Amy, Blake began to ask around the prison if it was possible to find someone to beat up Pete. Seeing as he's in a prison, he was able to find various people willing to do the job for the right price. Richard Lyttle was the right man for the job. For the low price of £20,000, Blake would have the peace of mind someone would possible do more physical damage to Pete than he does to himself.
Still getting high
On February 17, 2008, Blake and 6 other inmates were rushed to the jail's hospital block. A guard noticed Blake writhing around in his cell and vomiting more than normal. 6 other inmates were violently ill as well and the block went into emergency lockdown mode as the staff tried to figure out what made the inmates sick. After talking to all the inmates and searching the cells, they found out that Blake and the others took what they thought was regular heroin. Unfortunately for Blake, the quality control for drugs in prison is lacking and he ended up with a batch of heroin mixed with something actually more toxic than heroin. At that point, visits to Blake were restricted because he tested dirty in 3 different random drug tests and they weren't sure if the drugs were being smuggled in via Amy's beehive or from another visitor. Amy's hair has to be searched during all their visits.
Photos of Blake doing heroin while in his cell hit the web in July 2008. In one photo, Blake is sitting on the toilet and getting the heroin ready to smoke. In the other image, Blake is using a straw to inhale the heroin he's smoking off a piece of foil. They are dated from the night Amy was performing for Nelson Mandela and asking for his help in freeing her "Blake Incarcerated". The photos proved that despite all of his claims of being drug free, Blake still gets high as often as he can.
How is Blake paying for these fabulous drugs? He's traded autographed photos of wife Amy to inmates who hope they can sell the pics for as much as possible online. When he was busted for that, he's found other ways to get drugs but no one knows for sure how he's paying for it.
Finding Romance and Faking Suicide
Letters written by Blake to various women were leaked to the media. First it was former friend Sarah Thomas who was making visits to Blake and writing letters. Another woman causing a controversy in a relationship that already borders on an excellent episode of Jerry Springer is German model Sophie Schandorff. Sophie began attending Blake's court hearings on a regular basis, even showing up to those that Amy missed. When the two mouthed "I love you" to each other during a court case, the press ran with the story. But just as they both are addicted to any kind of drug available, Amy and Blake are hopelessly hooked to each other. Sophie has stated she is just a friend. A friend who tells a married man she loves him during open court, writes the same married man letters, makes all his court appearances, and cries desperately for all the cameras to see when he's convicted. Right.
Just because Amy is outside the prison he's and there are reports of women coming to see him doesn't mean Blake's going to let his golden ticket go. Whenever photos are published of Amy with other men or he feels particularly vulnerable about his relationship, it's time to go to the old standby: fake suicide attempt. He used the ploy before they were married to keep her devoted out of guilt and now uses it from jail. He's called Amy on more than one occasion to tell her that he's alive because someone saved him from hanging himself or the noose was loose. Amy breaks down and has confessed to various sources that he does this on a regular basis. The Sun called to verify if any of his attempts were true and were told there were no suicide attempts with that prisoner proving Blake is quite possibly a bigger attention whore than ever thought possible.
