Who is she?

Jaymes Foster is the 49 year old sister of powerful music producer David Foster. She's produced at least 2 of his last CDs and he crashes at her place whenever he's in Los Angeles. She's also who Clay has stated is his best friend in many interviews. She's also the woman whose career will be forever overshadowed and will become a household name for being Clay Aiken's babymommma.

Did they or didn't they?

According to many sources, one of those many overnight stays at Jaymes' place didn't result in a baby. Jaymes is nearing 50 and wanted a child. Clay has said in interviews before how he desired to be a father. While Jaymes didn't pregnant in the conventional way, she did have to kick her heels up in the air. Rumors were that she was impregnated with Clay's sperm via a clinic. Clay is going to be more than just the man providing the baby batter and plans on being a part of the baby's life. Jaymes' brother David had his rep speak to People magazine about the situation.

It is true Clay is the father. She was artificially inseminated by Clay. She's due in August.

What are the Claymates thinking?

Clay's biggest fans, the Claymates, are a loyal group of people who follow Clay all over the world and have since his appearance on American Idol. When the pregnancy was first rumored, many wondered if they'd be happy or filled with a jealous rage over the news. For the most part, the Claymates were congratulatory and wished the star success while stunned at how soon the baby would be arriving. A few did respond on People.com with comments about how the baby will ruin his touring schedule and future cd releases but the Claymates have a history of being divided over issues in Clay's life outside of his singing career.

CLAY IS GAY!

On September 24th, 2008, Clay appeared on the cover of People magazine with the words "Yes, I'm gay", confirming millions of people's suspicions about the new father. Claymates reacted in a variety of ways, from wishing their idol to well to having complete existential break-downs. Clay recalled the story of coming out to his family 4 years prior. "I started crying in the car," he remembered.

"It was dark. I was sitting there, thinking to myself. I don't know why I started thinking about it ... I just started bawling. She made me pull over the car and it just came out."

Aiken says he made a promise to himself as a new father to publicly acknowledge that he is gay. He says he wouldn't want to raise his child to lie or hide things because he himself was not raised as such, a bold statement from someone who lied continuously to millions of fans for years about his sexual identity.
