Teen Queen Hilary Duff will always be stuck in the middle of her parents' dirty divorce. In 2008 Susan Duff, Hilary's mom, took her ex-husband to court, demanding $25,000 to fund Hilary's 21st birthday. Susan was already receiving $10,000 a month in support payment from Robert but apparently that wasn't enough. Although the number $25,000 may seem random, Susan claims that is what the couple spent on Hilary's sister Haylie when she turned 21 several years earlier. Sentence and Jail Time
Robert Duff was subsequently ordered to pay $12,500 for the birthday bash, but the drama was far from over. Bob was found in contempt of court for violating an injunction against selling asset without court approval and sentenced to 10 days in jail. He was also ordered to pay back the reported $367,537 that he earned from a stock sale.
